Thank You And Farewell!
To all esport fans and supporters of Allegiance,
Today, I’m writing the most difficult piece I’ve created since starting this organization and it’s to publish the conclusion of Allegiance’s story.
Allegiance was founded in 2015 and made its name known worldwide with a 2nd place finish at the Halo World Championship in early 2016. The purpose of creating Allegiance was to offer professional players a home where they experienced security and fidelity. In fact, our organization name says it all as it was conceived from its synonym – loyalty.
Just like every other organization in esports, we love competition and we are proud of our accolades! With only 13 tournaments played in our first year of operation, Allegiance became the highest grossing team organization in console esports in its first 13 events. It all started in Halo, but we brought the Star to many more gaming titles:
- Bronze Medal at 2016 X-Games (Halo)
- 3rd at the 2016 North America Regionals (Halo)
- 2nd at the 2016 Halo World Championship (Halo)
- 3rd at HCS Las Vegas 2016 (Halo)
- 4th at MLG Las Vegas 2016 (Call of Duty)
- 3rd at Gears Pro Circuit London Open (Gears of War)
- 5th-8th at the 2017 Smite World Championship (Smite)
Since our launch we managed 67 players who became our friends and family. These players are the reason Allegiance made such an impact on the esports world and we owe all our success to you! I want to personally thank you in allowing me the chance to pursue my vision of changing the way esports is managed and letting us compete alongside of you.
One of our core values was to be honest and offer complete transparency to our fans, so we feel it’s right to share the reason behind us closing the organization. As most gaming followers know, the esport industry has become extremely competitive, especially for organizations. Allegiance is no longer able to compete with the organizations at the highest level with our current funding and found that now is the best time to depart from this gaming landscape. It’s certainly an exciting time for esports and we are thrilled to see the future regardless of our involvement!
Even with the closure of Allegiance we are working with our present teams to find new homes that follow the same principles as our organization. If you are interested in working with one of our teams then please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will share the value each team can bring to your organization.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Allegiance over the two years and we will see you at our last competition in Orlando at the Call of Duty Championship!
